IHC Systems is 50% part of Imtech Marine & Offshore and is market leader in the area of process monitoring, control and automation for dredging vessels, including the integration of dredging tasks with both nautical and hydrographic tasks on board vessels.
Dredging is a capital-intensive activity, the specifications for dredging works are becoming increasingly demanding. Large dredging contractors, and a growing number of small ones are consequently employing advanced instrumentation and automation systems on board their vessels. This considerably improves the efficiency of the dredging process, with achievable production improvements of between 15 and 25%. The accuracy of dredging has also considerably improved, thereby enabling the stringent specification requirements of dredging contracts to be fulfilled. All in all, this amounts to 90 highly motivated and dedicated staff members who are occupied on a daily basis with ‘Efficient Dredging’, IHC Systems’ mission, drive and objective.
