Falcon line: clear view on the future
Radio Holland introduces a new innovative range of navigation products at Gorinchem exhibition
Radio Holland introduces the Falcon-line at the Construction & Shipping Industry exhibition in Gorinchem from 5 till 7 May, on stand number 118. The Falcon-line is the newest inland shipping navigation range of Radio Zeeland. With a sharp, modern design Falcon will fit perfectly on each inland shipping bridge. The unique Falcon products form an innovative and multifunctional concept, taking a giant leap forward in the total integration of data supply on each inland shipping vessel. The captain obtains easy access to the required information or functionality at his place of choice on the bridge. Innovative, efficient, eye catching, user friendly and functional are the characteristics of the Falcon line.
The multifunctional control panels provide a great flexibility showing relevant navigation data. The concept “each instrument an individual layout” has become a thing of the past; each Falcon control panel can change in functionality with a single push of a button. In combination with the control panels a scale of intelligent sensors become available. These provide a continuous flow of information into the data network. The captain decides how, where and when data will be shown.
Another innovation of the Falcon line is the MultiHUB. Sensors are attached to this intelligent distribution system and the MultiHUB divides all the information over the ethernet network on the ship. The control panels are hooked up to the same network, which gives the captain direct access to all the data on the network. The MultiHUB compiles NMEA data technology, making it possible to directly connect to the radar systems. An extra advantage is that with a minimum amount of cables, installation is easy.
Expanding the existing systems is easy. A new sensor is connected to the MultiHUB, making the data of this sensor available on the network. The data of this new sensor can be read on the existing Falcon control panels, or a new Falcon control panel can simply be connected to the network.
Since the Falcon control panels are multifunctional, the user can make a simple choice which functionality is displayed. Choices on required language, color settings or instrument distribution are no longer an issue; the Falcon navigation line makes all options and functionalities available in an easy way.
